We want to expand our support and resources to our community members by hosting and participating in educational and legal events. We aim to provide these communities with greater access to trusted legal counsel and aid in supporting everyone in our communities.
Mi Pueblo Foundation is a nonprofit advocacy organization that began with Carmelo Castañeda. Carmelo immigrated to the United States at a very young age and began working in the fields. At the age of 13, he met civil rights leader, Cesar Chavez. Inspired by Cesar Chavez, Carmelo has dedicated his career for over thirty years to the benefit of the Hispanic community who has encountered legal problems in and out of their country. Carmelo has extensive experience and training investigating and assisting residents and attorneys resolve their legal matters, including members of the United Farm Workers. His relationships with the farm workers, the Mexican Consulate and local businesses has provided him with a good foundation to bring justice to those in need.
“Working together with the community, has given me the opportunity to serve the people”
